Digital Autonomy Assessment

Freev1.12.6

Digital Autonomy Assessment brings the Utrecht University Digital Autonomy Assessment Framework (DAAF) into Turbo EA, at the Application level.

It adds a Digital Autonomy section to every Application card - 22 weighted indicators across three levels (risk exposure, mitigation capacity, strategic importance), each scored 1-5 against the original DAAF rubric with inline guidance. Level aggregates and a 1-10 autonomy score are calculated automatically, and a Reports -> Digital Autonomy quadrant plots every application on Risk x Importance vs Mitigation (Optimal / Manageable / Attention / Critical). Survey the responsible people with a ready-made 9- or 22-indicator template.

Based on the Digital Autonomy Assessment Framework by Utrecht University (Tim van Neerbos), reproduced under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 and adapted to run natively inside Turbo EA. The multilingual rubric and help text come from the DAAF project. Because the framework is non-commercial, this extension is distributed free of charge.

What’s new

1.12.52026-08-26

Added
  • The extension carries its own logo, so it is recognisable on the Store and Installed tabs.

1.12.02026-07-15

Changed
  • The extension is free. It installs and runs with no licence at all — it is still vendor-signed, so provenance is unchanged. Proper attribution to the Digital Autonomy Assessment Framework it implements is now carried in the listing and on the page.

1.11.42026-07-14

Changed
  • Quadrant markers are coloured by quadrant, and the ranking list is ordered by score.

1.11.32026-07-12

Fixed
  • The stated minimum Turbo EA version was wrong.

1.11.22026-07-12

Fixed
  • The stored score is the 1–10 autonomy score, not the raw ratio behind it — the two were being confused wherever the score was read back.

1.11.12026-07-12

Fixed
  • An application that has not been assessed yields no score instead of an error.

1.11.02026-07-12

Changed
  • The report is built from Turbo EA's own report kit, so it looks and behaves like a core report — the same frame, the same filters, the same detail drawer.

1.10.02026-07-12

Added
  • Save and share the report through core's Saved Reports.

1.9.02026-07-12

Added
  • Axis pickers on the report — Risk, Mitigation and Importance — reading the stored scores.

1.8.02026-07-12

Changed
  • The card shows the fields that belong to the calculation currently in effect, and hides the rest.

1.7.02026-07-12

Changed
  • The report follows the active calculation and its filters. The card display toggle it replaced is gone.

1.6.02026-07-11

Added
  • The dimension sub-headings are translated.

1.5.02026-07-11

Changed
  • Computed outputs moved into their own section, so results stay visible while a filter is applied.

1.4.02026-07-11

Added
  • A quick-scan badge and a filter for it.

1.3.02026-07-11

Added
  • Dimension sub-sections, numbering, the full help text and glossary, and rounded scores on the card.

1.2.02026-07-10

Added
  • New from template buttons that create a DAAF survey as a draft, ready to review before it is sent.
Changed
  • The extension no longer ships ready-made draft surveys; the buttons create them on demand.

1.1.02026-07-10

Added
  • Two ready-made draft DAAF surveys.

1.0.02026-07-09

Added
  • First release. Assess the digital autonomy of your applications against the Digital Autonomy Assessment Framework — a scored questionnaire on the card, calculated dimension scores, and a portfolio report.
